Technical
descriptions of our equipment and procedures
All
of our videos are produced using 3 CCD “3 chip” high-definition
video cameras. We simultaneously record 1080p high-definition
footage to solid-state media and output standard definition 4:3
aspect ratio video to a back-up DVD recorder. The high definition
MPEG-4 digital master footage can be used as is or converted to a
multitude of formats including MPEG-2 HD, WMV-HD, MPEG-2, MPEG-1 and
others. 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios can be outputted without
distortion or stretching (a 4:3 aspect ratio is accomplished by
side cropping the native 16:9 footage.)
On-screen date/time stamp is displayed on the video for easy indexing
and per individual state and Federal rules.
Amazingly
sharp high-quality still photos can be produced from the HD master
opening up many new possibilities for trial presentations, settlement
brochures and more. The audio portion of the recording can also be
extracted from the master and outputted as an MP3 or WAV file.
The
final “produced video” is chaptered, a motion menu is created and
then the final product is burned onto an ink-jet printable DVD. We
then print onto the DVD an abbreviated case caption and other
essential information and ship it out via USPS Priority Mail
(included in our hourly fee.)
Our standard deposition
audio recording setup includes three broadcast quality lavaliere
microphones and one boundary (table) microphone mixed through a
professional microphone mixer. The audio is monitored continuously
via studio headphones and individual levels are adjusted as needed. The resulting audio is crisp and clear with good presence.
We have the ability and
equipment for a two-camera shoot and to mic up to eight participants with broadcast quality
lavaliere microphones (Please inform us when booking the job so we
can bring the necessary equipment.)
When lighting or
backgrounds are not ideal, a portable backdrop and studio light kit
are available.
