Our Firm

Welcome to the on-line home of Duffey Legal Video. We offer a full range of video and litigation support services to legal professionals in the Mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon.  Our service area extends from Salem, the state capitol, south to the Eugene/Springfield area.

Legal Videography

Legal video work is not a side business for us.  We don't shoot weddings on the weekends and “fill-in” with a few depositions here and there.  Legal videography is all we do!  Our certified legal videographers know the deposition process and follow the guidelines set forth by the National Court Reporters Association.

Online Scheduling

Schedule a videographer any time day or night using our on-line ordering form.  All requests for a videographer will be confirmed by e-mail or phone by the next business day, and we will confirm with a phone call the day before the deposition.  If you don't receive an e-mail confirmation, please call us.

Equipment and Procedures

State-of-the-art high definition video cameras with all digital workflow are used in conjunction with studio-quality field audio equipment enabling us to deliver video, audio and stills in almost any format.  When necessary we have the ability to provide a two-camera shoot and mic up to eight participants.  If lighting or backgrounds are not ideal, a portable backdrop and studio lighting are available.  Please visit our services page for more details.

Conference Room

As an added bonus to our clients, we offer a complimentary downtown Corvallis conference room with a high-quality speakerphone, PowerPoint projector and free on-site parking.  Basic beverage service is included at no charge.

Video Conferencing

H.323 & H.264 standards-based video conferencing is available at our downtown Corvallis conference room at competitive rates.  Our system has 3-party continuous presence multi-conference capability without external equipment.  Advanced media encryption technology is used and when agreed upon, call recording is available.  The recorded video file can be outputted as a Windows Media File or MPEG-2 file and distributed on DVD.

Litigation Support

We offer other litigation support services including synchronized transcripts, media conversion and/or duplication, video editing, still photography services, document reproduction and more.  Please visit our services page for more details.

Local Area Information

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Corvallis and/or the Mid-Willamette Valley area, we have a "Links & Information" page.  You will find some great photos and links to area accommodations, local restaurants, business services, current weather and more.

Thanks for visiting our site and we look forward to providing you with the most comprehensive legal video and litigation support services in the Mid-Willamette Valley.

A.G. Sues Banks Over Their Use of MERS Electronic 'End-Around'

In his latest broadside against the banking industry, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is alleging that the nation's largest banks use the Mortgage Electronic Registration System to evade public filings, shortchange localities of $2 billion in fees and compromise homeowners' interests. A complaint filed on Friday describes MERS, a Virginia-based digital mortgage tracking service, as "a shell company" established as a stealth mortgagee for banks, particularly JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo.

Weathering the Storm

A rising tide may lift all boats, but not all law firms rose with the swells in 2011's choppy waters. A few California-centric firms saw large gains in revenues or profits in 2011, while at the other end, firms like Orrick and Pillsbury spent the year mostly treading water.

Tracing the Effects of Oil and Gas Industry Political Donations

As millions of dollars flow from corporations and individuals into presidential campaigns, money also continues to influence members of Congress. In a recent two-year time frame, contributions to current House members from individuals and PACs connected to the oil and gas industry totaled nearly $12 million.
